The machine features a casing made of thickened seamless steel tubing——ensuring durability and resistance to deformation——and a sturdy base design that guarantees stable operation. Internally, it utilizes an assembly of stirring teeth arranged in a precise spiral pattern; high-speed rotation of these teeth subjects the material to forced shearing, mixing, and extrusion.

The working principle of the new type organic fertilizer granulator is based on ”mechanical forced agglomeration.“It utilizes high-speed mechanical agitation and the resulting aerodynamic forces to continuously subject fine powdery materials to mixing, granulation, spheronization, and densification within the machine, thereby achieving the granulation objective.
Specific workflow: Materials enter the machine through an inlet at one end and are continuously propelled by the granulation rotor. Under the action of high-speed rotating stirring teeth, the materials are repeatedly broken apart and kneaded into spherical granules. During this process, the stirring teeth——acting as the direct working components that impact the particles and granulation liquid——subject the material to intense shearing and compression. The rotational speed of the main shaft typically ranges from 20 to 50 rpm.
The resulting granules are spherical, with a sphericity of ≥0.7 and a particle size generally between 0.3 and 3 mm. Granule size can be adjusted by varying the material feed rate and the main shaft speed; generally, a lower feed rate and higher rotational speed result in smaller granules, and vice versa.
Compared to other granulation equipment such as disc granulators, double-roller press granulators, and rotary drum granulators, the new organic fertilizer granulator offers the following significant advantages:
The stirring-tooth granulator achieves a granulation rate of over 80%–95%, producing spherical granules with a sphericity of ≥0.7. Unlike natural agglomeration granulation systems, the particle size distribution is concentrated and easy to control. The resulting spherical granules lack sharp edges and exhibit an extremely low rate of pulverization.
This equipment is particularly well-suited for granulating lightweight, fine-powder materials; the finer the basic particles of the material, the higher the sphericity and quality of the granules. Materials with coarse fibers that are difficult to granulate using conventional equipment—such as crop stalks, distillers' grains, spent mushroom substrate, and herbal residues—can be granulated directly after fermentation.
By leveraging the ability of organic particles to interlock and grow under specific forces, the process requires no added binders. The organic matter content can reach up to 100%, enabling the production of granules made entirely of organic material.
A single unit can achieve an hourly output of 1–10 tons, making it easier to meet large-scale production requirements. It operates smoothly with continuous discharge, making it ideal for large-scale assembly-line operations.
The tooth stirring granulator has a wide range of applications, mainly including the following categories:
Livestock and poultry manure (chicken manure, pig manure, cow manure, sheep manure, etc.)
Agricultural by-products (straw, wine residue, fungus residue, medicinal residue, bean residue, corn flour, etc.)
Humic acids (peat, lignite, weathered coal)
Other organic wastes (urban sludge, food waste residues, microorganisms)
Inorganic minerals (carbon black, clay, kaolin, electric jade powder, molecular sieve, calcium carbonate, calcium hydrogen phosphate)

The complete operating process for a stirring-tooth granulator typically involves the following steps:
Before installation, a precast concrete platform must be laid, and the granulator base secured with anchor bolts to ensure stable operation. Belt conveyors must be aligned with the feed and discharge ports.
Fermented and decomposed organic materials are crushed and screened to ensure the particle fineness meets requirements. The moisture content is adjusted to an appropriate range (20%–40%) based on material characteristics.
The prepared material is fed into the granulator's inlet via conveying equipment, and the machine is started to begin granulation. Granule size is controlled by adjusting the main shaft rotation speed and the feed rate.
After granulation, the granules undergo drying, cooling, screening, coating, and automatic weighing and packaging to produce the final product.
Auxiliary equipment for a complete production line typically includes: organic fertilizer windrow compost turner → semi-wet material crusher → organic fertilizer mixer → new type organic fertilizer granulator → dryer → cooler → drum screener → belt conveyor → automatic finished product packaging machine.
