Advantages and disadvantages of organic fertilizer granulators in wet granulation production lines

Granular fertilizer can add some inorganic components in fertilizer to improve fertilizer efficiency, while powdery fertilizer is easy to absorb moisture and caking if inorganic components are added. Granular fertilizer is more convenient to apply, especially in some large-scale planting bases, mechanical fertilization is generally used. If mechanical fertilization is used, only granular fertilizer can be used. If it is powdery, it is easy to fly everywhere.
Wet granulation is divided into many kinds of equipment, the early disc granulator, drum granulator, stirring granulator, organic fertilizer combination granulator and so on. Each granulation method is different for different raw materials, but it has one characteristic, that is, the moisture content of raw materials is generally 25% - 60%, and the requirements of moisture content are different with different equipment. Disc granulator is an early granulation equipment for wet granulation. The moisture requirement is generally about 50%. The disc is used to make the materials roll on the disc and slowly stick together to form granules. It is suitable for relatively fine raw materials with low adhesion. Disadvantages: too high moisture, too much consumption in the later stage, and too high material requirements.
Among these granulating equipment, the most outstanding technology and performance are stirring teeth organic fertilizer granulator machine and organic fertilizer combination granulator machine. If it is pure organic matter granulation, it is recommended to choose stirring teeth granulation, which is suitable for a wide range of applications, and the water content can be controlled between 25% - 45%. Organic fertilizer combination granulator is mainly used to add some inorganic components (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, etc.) into the organic matter. The wet granulation material requires high moisture, and the consumption of drying and cooling is increased.
