Belt conveyor has large transportation capacity, strong continuity and simple structure. It is widely used in fertilizer production, coal, metallurgy, mining and other industries. In practical application, belt conveyor is prone to belt deviation. There are many factors causing belt deviation. Solutions should be taken according to the possible reasons and in time.
Reasons for deviation of fertilizer belt conveyor
The force on both sides of the belt is uneven. Perhaps there is an error in the height of the belt rack when the belt conveyor is installed, which leads to the high side and the low side. It may also be that after running for a period of time, the belt will appear serious aging phenomenon under the action of long-term tension, and the tension force on each part of the belt is not uniform, resulting in belt deviation.
The belt vibrates greatly during operation. When fertilizer falls on the belt in each link, the belt will produce vibration, and the vibration of the belt conveyor will be very obvious during the load-bearing operation. Vibration will directly cause the radial jump of the belt itself, and will also lead to the unbalanced force on the belt, thus causing the belt to run off.
The belt is aging. Under the action of friction and tension for a long time, the inner structure of the belt will be permanently deformed, which will lead to the aging of the belt, the decrease of the tension of the aged belt, the relaxation of the belt and the deviation of the belt.
Material falling on the belt is unevenly distributed. Installation and commissioning of the belt conveyor, in no-load test run, the belt runs well without deviation, but after carrying fertilizer, there will be deviation. This situation is mainly due to the improper position of the blanking point and the overlap of the belt at the reloading point, and the uneven distribution of coal when it falls on the belt, resulting in uneven stress on both sides, thus causing deviation.
The axis of idler is not perpendicular to the center line of conveyor belt. Because of the nonstandard installation process, the frame and drum are skewed, and the supporting rollers are not perpendicular to the center line of the conveyor, which causes the belt to deviate horizontally. At the same time, the skew of the frame will also lead to uneven conveyor on both sides, resulting in uneven force on both sides of the belt and lead to belt deviation.
Countermeasure for deviation of fertilizer belt conveyor
1.Adjust the idler of belt conveyor. When belt deviation occurs in the middle of belt conveyor, the problem of belt deviation can be solved by adjusting the roller carrier, excluding terrain factors.
2.Adjust the drum bearing seat of belt conveyor. The whole set of belt conveyor carries more drums. The installation position of drums must be perpendicular to the belt center line. If there is a big deviation between the center line and the drum, then the bearing seat must be adjusted. If the belt deviates from the drum, the deviation should be adjusted by adjusting the position of the drum.
3.Adjust the belt rack. The two sides of the belt rack are uneven, and the belt will certainly incline to the lower side during operation. At this time, the belt rack should be adjusted.
Adjust fertilizer drop point. Adjust the material dropping point so that fertilizer can be collected as far as possible along the middle of the belt conveyor. A baffle can also be installed at the feeding port to adjust the direction of material dropping with the help of the baffle.
