The working principle of the rotary drum granulator is similar to that of the large granulating equipment such as the organic fertilizer granulator. Materials depend on the surface tension, suitable liquid phase volume, extrusion force generated by rolling between materials, and the correct movement direction of materials in the granulator, with small particles as the core, they absorb and adhere to each other and form balls during rolling. In a certain period of time, the higher the rolling frequency is, the higher the spheroidization rate is, and the rounder the particles are. In order to improve the pelletizing rate of rotary drum granulator and increase the aesthetics of finished products, it is necessary to start from the production factors affecting granulation.
In the process of production, we have encountered two kinds of situations due to the different friction between the material and the wall of the granulator. The internal surface of the rotary drum granulator is smooth, so that the friction force between the material and the cylinder wall is reduced, and the upward movement force of the material is weakened. If the material does not roll, it will not produce particles. In view of this situation, we can solve this problem by adjusting the speed of the granulator and installing a small plate inside.
The material in the granulator sticks to the wall seriously, and the friction force between the material and the cylinder wall is enhanced. The material in the granulator is lifted too high, which causes the material to fall down from the top, resulting in the formation of uneven particles and excessive large particles. We think that there are two reasons for this situation: on the one hand, there are too many sticky materials in the material. In this case, we change the process formula to reduce the amount of viscous material; on the other hand, the internal surface of the granulator is not smooth. In this case, we can solve this problem by changing the internal material and increasing the internal smoothness of the granulator.
For the NPK fertilizer granulator, in order to improve the appearance and granulation rate of granules, it is necessary to consider the factors affecting the production.
