When disc granulator produces compound fertilizer, there are many factors affecting granulation, such as disc diameter, disc speed, disc inclination, nozzle hole diameter, water content, etc. Generally speaking, the disc inclination has a great influence on the granulation rate of the disc granulator, and the disc rotation speed has a great influence on the compressive strength of the particles.
The results show that the water content of disc granulation has a great influence on the granulation rate and the compressive strength of particles. When the moisture content of the material is controlled in the range of 16%-20%, the granulation rate and the compressive strength of the particles are better. Material moisture is too little, particle granulation rate is small, water is too much, material is easy to coagulate into large blocks, particles bond together, resulting in the reduction of granulation rate. When the moisture content of the material is too low, the compressive strength of the particles increases with the increase of the moisture content, which is conducive to improving the compressive strength of the particles. When the moisture content is too high, excessive water will destroy the interaction force between the fertilizer molecules, making the dried particles easy to crack, leading to the decrease of the compressive strength of the particles.
Before using the disc granulator, test the best moisture content, disc speed and disc inclination of the granulator, so that the fertilizer production line efficiency is high and the quality of the particles is good. At the same time, the finer the raw powder of the disc granulator, the better the granulation effect.
Disc granulator is widely used in organic fertilizer production line and inorganic fertilizer production line. Using disc granulation to produce compound fertilizer has the characteristics of low investment, large output, simple process and intuitive operation, and has good economic and social benefits.
